Information about Thai Massage...

What is Thai massage?

"When any person is sick at Siam he begins with causing his whole body to be moulded by one who is skilful herein, who gets upon the body of the sick person and tramples him under his feet."

-Simon de la Loubere
French liaison to the Thai Royal Court in Ayutthi

Thai Yoga Massage is rooted in the ancient techniques of yoga and traditional thai massage.

This massage combines pressure on specific lines, gentle stretchings and yoga postures, to work on muscles and soft tissues as well as on the energy body. Awareness on the breathing and the rigth attitude are vital for this type of bodywork, which is considered a physical expression of metta, the buddist concept of loving kindness. It is a deeply healing experience for both the giver and the receiver. As it is practiced today, Thai Yoga Massage is a rhytmic dance, where the body is gently moved, stretched and “manipulated into letting go”.
Thai Yoga Massage releases both physical and energy blocks, increases flexibility and body awareness, stimulate internal organs and helps to re-balance body, mind and spirit.
